    Last month’s blog discussed the prerequisites for manifesting anything in your life whether tangible or intangible. This blog is a continuation of that topic so, if you haven’t read “From Thought to Manifestation,” I recommend you take a look at it before reading any further. Key points in that discussion include:
•  1. The difference between “What-Is” (your observation, your current reality) and “What You Want” (your imagination),
•  2. Beliefs = (Thoughts x Repetition) including likelihood or probability, believability, or “naturalness”, and
•  3. Manifestation = Σ (Beliefs x Values) or the sum of one’s beliefs, each belief multiplied by its respective value or importance.

    “Value” is a property of “What You Want,” the feeling or emotional component of imagination. In that blog I stated that “Your thoughts do create your reality, but they only contribute (as a necessary condition) to your manifesting.” I also gave a hint as to what “The Power of ‘As If’” is all about:
•   “Now, an idea which is only a thought produces nothing. In order to be awakened, motor elements must be employed, for imagination is spiritual sensation.” ~ Neville Goddard (1905-1972; Barbadian-American metaphysics teacher & New Thought/New Age author)

    Goddard (like many psychologists) sees motor elements or the motivational fuel (Value) for the engine of human behavior as based in imagination (What You Want). Hence, “Your thoughts (plural, so actually Σ Beliefs) do create your reality, but they only contribute (as a necessary condition) to your manifesting.” Without the Value (feeling, emotional) component, all bets are off in terms of the capacity of thoughts to manifest anything that you want. In short, both Belief (the “What” of manifesting) and Value (the “motivational force” or fuel to bring those thoughts into manifestation) are necessary. Wow! How do we do that? I’m going to let the experts tell us in their own words:

• “The Law [of Attraction] is simple: ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’ It is the law of like begets like. As you imagine, so shall your life become. Knowing what you want [Belief], assume the feeling that would be yours [Value] [as if] you had it. Persist in that feeling and, in a way [manner] you do not know and could not devise, your desire will become a fact [manifestation].” ... “You must feel your desires are already realized, that they are already true, for the truth of any concept is known by the feeling of certainty that the thought is true.” ... “The moment you accept the wish as an accomplished fact, the subconscious [mind] finds means for its realization. To ... [be successful] then, you must yield to the wish, that is, feel the wish fulfilled.” ~ Neville Goddard

    Imagination (as if) is the key element in the feeling (Value) process:
• “The Universe does not know or care whether the vibration that you’re offering is in response to something you are living right now, and observing [What Is], or in response to something you are imagining [What You Want]. In either case, the Universe accepts it as your point of attraction and matches it.” ~ Abraham (channeled by Esther Hicks; Silver Spring, MD, April 19, 1997)

    So, what does all this have to do with “The Power of ’As If’”?
• “It is best to feel, by visualization and by divine contact in meditation, that you are already in perfect health, wisdom and abundance, rather than trying to succeed by begging for health, prosperity, and wisdom.” ~ Paramhansa Yogananda (”The Origin of Reincarnation,” 1934; in The Wisdom of Yogananda, Volume 2, 2007)

• “If you live in poverty, step away from it. You are the creator of your own reality. Say affirmations to change the energy both on a subconscious and conscious level, and speak as if you are already living in abundance.” ~ Maitreya (channeled by Margaret McElroy)

• “Act as if anything you desire is already here. Believe that all that you seek you’ve already received, that it exists in Spirit, and know you shall have your desires filled.” ... “The more you see yourself as what you’d like to become, and act as if what you want is already there, the more you’ll activate those dormant forces that will collaborate to transform your dream into your reality.” ~ Dr. Wayne W. Dyer (1940-2015; American psychotherapist, self-help advocate, & author)

• “What you want is already done. It’s not missing. You’re not in the process of creating it now, it’s already been created [Thought]. The campaign you’re launching is to attract you there [manifesting]. The way you do that is by talking about the beauty of it, by talking about how good it feels, by lining up with it, by pretending [as if] it’s already done. The Universe doesn’t know if the vibration that you offer is because you’ re-imagining it or because you’re living it. It just responds to the vibration of it. Find ways of getting in there. Find the feeling place of it.” ~ Abraham (San Francisco, March 22, 2009)

    The key to all of this is vibration, emotion, the “feeling place” of enjoying the thought (Belief x Value) of your desire:
• “An ... important aspect of being responsible ... is critical for creating or manifesting anything and everything, including raising your vibration, [and] that is the nature and quality of your vibration itself. Specifically, you must put yourself in the feeling place (emotion/vibration) of already having what you want to manifest as an accomplished fact in your life. To be in the feeling place, you must be able to enjoy the thought of your creation [Belief] already manifested.” ~ Dennis L. Dossett (“Taking Responsibility versus Blaming Yourself”)

• “Construct an event which you believe you would encounter following the fulfillment of your desire — an event which implies fulfillment of your desire. ... Then mentally feel yourself right into the proposed action. Imagine all the while that you are actually performing the action here and now. You must participate in the imaginary action, not merely stand back and look on, but feel that you are actually performing the action, so that the imaginary sensation is real to you.” ... The difference between feeling yourself in action, here and now, and visualizing yourself in action, as though you were on a motion-picture screen, is the difference between success and failure. The difference will be appreciated if you will now visualize yourself (your body) climbing a ladder. Then, with eyelids closed, imagine that a ladder is right in front of you and feel yourself actually climbing it.” ~ Neville Goddard

• “Achieve, first, the vibrational essence of your desire and then, through the crack of least resistance, the manifestation will be delivered. ... Work on the essence of the feeling of freedom; work on the essence of the feeling of empowerment, work on the essence of the feeling of Well-Being ... And how do you do that? You can imagine it already having happened and pretend [as if] what it will feel like when it is that way. Or, you can look for things in your life that are already like that and beat the drum of that until they play a higher percentage of time in the vibrational signal that you are emanating.” (Abraham; North Los Angeles, CA, March 6, 2004) ... Hold the thought, and pretend [as if] ... it has happened. Feel the excitement as if it has happened and then watch what happens.” ~ Abraham (Facebook Inspirational Quotes)

• “Take the time to line up the Energy first, and action becomes inconsequential. If you don’t take the time to line up the Energy, if you don’t find the feeling place of what you’re looking for, not enough action in the world will make any difference.” ~ Abraham (San Diego, CA, August 3, 1997)

    It is all about learning to manage your experience of life, your response to all the external negative stuff in your life over which you have no control. The only thing you can control is your response to all that stuff (your “reality”). And managing (manifesting) your reality is all about managing your Beliefs (Thoughts) and their respective Values. Learning to manage your experience of life is key to becoming the “Master of your life rather than being mastered by life” as Maitreya tells us (Conscious Living). It will put a smile on your face (because you feel good) as well as making it easier and faster to manifest raising your vibration, improving your relationships, — and yes — increasing both internal and external abundance in your life.

    Learn to manage your vibration and you begin to manage the physical circumstances of your life. It takes time and it takes patience because it is a learning process. You didn’t learn how to walk or how to ride a bicycle on your first several tries, and you won’t learn how to better manage your outer life until you learn to better manage your inner life. It requires practice, practice, and more practice over time as well as patience with yourself. But you can do this. You’ve got this. You’ve done it before and you can do it again, but do it consciously this time. Just give “The Power of ’As If’” an honest try in your life. What have you got to lose? Think about that as you begin to ponder your New Year’s Resolutions. Better yet, why not start right now?
